教材分析：

From Problems to Solutions是一篇說明文，以阿斯旺大壩為例講了如何解決一個問題。在信息層面，文章第一部分引出主題：Big challenges can sometimes lead to great solutions；第二部分講了埃及如何解決建阿斯旺大壩和文物保護之間的矛盾；第三部分講了解決問題中合作的重要性。在文本結構上，整個篇章是general-specific模式。本文脈絡清晰，結構清楚。

因此在教學設計中分了四步走，首先用了七個問題把文章的主要信息理清楚；然后著重講解了general-specific相關的篇章模式。第三，提取歸納了解決問題的一般模式，實現從文本信息的具象思維到高階抽象思維的發展。最后，引導學生運用所學分析解決身邊的問題。整個文本分析由信息——篇章——思維——運用四部分組成。

教學目標：
